2023 AFCON: Equatorial Guinea Face Djibouti For Nigeria

In preparation for their participation in the 2023 African Cup of Nations, Equatorial Guinea will face Djibouti in a warm-up game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Guinean will take part in the competition for the 4th time in their history and make their debut in 2012 as host.

The head coach of the team on Sunday released the list of 27 players that will represent the country.

They were initially scheduled to face the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in a friendly match but it was cancelled due to logistics reasons.

The game against Djibouti has been slated to be held in Malabo on January 9th, before moving to Ivory Coast.

Equatorial Guinea will open their campaign in the AFCON tournament against Nigeria.
