2023 AFCON: Guinea Bissau First To Arrive In Ivory Coast

Nigeria's Super Eagles group opponents, the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau, have landed in Ivory Coast for the upcoming African Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Guineans suffered a heavy 6-2 defeat to the Eagles of Mali in a warm-up game played on Saturday in Bamako.

The team departed Bamako International Airport on Sunday morning and arrived in Abidjan later the same day.

The Djurtus will play the opening game against the host Ivory Coast on Friday and later face Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria in the competition.

In the last edition of the biennial tournament, Ethiopia was the first to arrive in Cameroon and was also the first to be eliminated.
