Djurtus of Guinea Bissau coach, Baciro Candes has given a summary of how his Wild Dogs caged Super Eagles strike force led by red-hot Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Super Eagle suffered a shocking 0-1 defeat on Matchday 3 of the AFCON qualifiers played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Friday.
It was Jose Peseiro's 4th successive defeat since becoming Super Eagles manager.
Mama Balde broke the deadlock for the Wild Dogs in the half hour mark after he made the most of a lob pass from his skipper, to slice the ball in between the legs of goalkeeper Francis Uzoho for the only goal of the game, after he beat the Super Eagles flat defence line.
Candes couldn't hide his delight at the post-match press conference.
"I'm very happy, the result against Nigeria is an important one for Guinea Bissau.
"It's a little surprise for the team, and my lads did very well in training and today's game.
"Never easy against a big football country like Nigeria, who's team has a lot of quality players. We feel good with this victory in Abuja.
"I can not tell you the strategy we used, as we have other game to play on Monday.
"Before today's game, we have been studying the videos of the Super Eagles and players to understand their playing patterns.
"It wasn't easy marking Osimhen and others but in the end, we were lucky with the chance and we won."
The lone goal victory sees the Wild Dogs go top of Group A with 7points, and a second leg game of their lives to play for in Bissau on Monday.
