2023 AFCON: Mauritania FA Denies Match-fixing Rumour

The Mauritania Football Association has come in strong terms to deny the rumour going around that they will leave the final group for Algeria to win, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The unfounded truth has been flying around in Ivory Coast in the past few days that the Algeria Football Association has sponsored the Mauritania national team.

Both sides will square up in the final group match in a game against the Desert Foxes must win to have a chance of reaching the knockout round.

Mauritania are technically out of the competition but they insisted that they will not roll over for Algerians.
