2023 AFCON: Nigeria Will Be Team To Beat - Onyeka

Ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, Nigeria's Super Eagles and Brentford FC midfielder Frank Onyeka has said Super Eagles remained a team to beat, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side has only recorded 2 points from 2 matches in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier but the hardworking midfielder believes Super Eagles will still make an impact in the competition.

"Look at the squad we’ve got, we can go there and win it. We’ve got Osimhen, Boniface, Awoniyi — they are all doing well in Europe.

"So we’ve got a good team and we can go and win. We have plenty of past players who have done well for Nigeria but now for us as players, we need to focus on ourselves and as a team to do what we need to do to make our nation proud", he told Livescore.
