2023 AFCON: Peseiro Reveals Reason He Accepts Super Eagles Offer

Nigeria's Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has finally revealed why he decided to renew his contract with Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The contract with the Portuguese gaffer ended at the end of June but agreed on an extension with the Nigeria Football Federation despite being owed a backlog of salaries.

While speaking with Brila FM, Peseiro said he accepted the deal to achieve his big goal with the Super Eagles.

" Me and my staff did everything to stay here to train these players and reach the big goal – win the AFCON title", he said.
