2023 AFCON: Sunday Mba Warns Super Eagles On Group Opponents

Ex-International Sunday Mba has warned Super Eagles players not to underrate their group opponents in the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The draw for the competition was held on Thursday and Nigeria was placed in group A alongside Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea and the host Ivory Coast.

Mba who was known for the famous final goal against Burkina Faso, cautioned the Nigerian side and urged them to approach every game with all seriousness and not underrate any opponents.

“Nigeria will qualify from their group, but we cannot underrate any of our opponents because all of them are a lot more prepared now", he stated.

Former Rangers international midfielder hit the limelight in the 2013 AFCON in South Africa scoring a winning goal in the quarter-final against Coted'Ivoire and the final against Burkina Faso.
