2023 AFCON: Super Eagles Misses Out As CAF Name Group Stage Best Eleven

Despite reaching the knockout round of the African Cup of Nations without losing a game, the players of the Super Eagles have missed out on the group stage best eleven, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The technical study group put together by the Confederation of African Football for this competition on Thursday released the group stage best eleven without Super Eagles players.

The players of the Teranga Lions of Senegal dominated the team with 3 players, Morocco has 4 players, Equatorial Guinea has 2 players while Angola and DR Congo have a player each.

The Super Eagles will have another opportunity to relaunch themselves as the knockout round commence on Saturday.
