2023 AFCON: Super Face Tough Task, Playing Host, Two Others In Group A

The draws for the much-awaited 2023 African Cup of Nations have been conducted and the Super Eagles will face hosts, Cote D'Ivoire and two other countries in Group A, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the draw, the three-time African champions were drawn against the host country Ivory Coast, Equatoral Guinea and Guinea Bissau in group A

The last time Nigeria met Cote D'Ivoire in AFCON was in 2013 in South Africa and Nigeria prevailed 2-1 to reach the semi-final of the competition.

Super Eagles of Nigeria has lifted the competition thrice while Ivory Coast has won twice in 1992 and 2015.

Group B consist of Ghana, Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique, Group C has defending champions Senegal, Cameroon, Gambia and Guinea.

Group D housed Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Algeria and Angola, Group E Tunisia, Mali, South Africa and Namibia while Group F has Morocco, DR Congo, Tanzania and Zambia.
