2023 AFCON: Ugbade List Countries That May Hinder Super Eagles Title Ambition

With the final game of the qualifier set to go down this weekend, former Nigeria's Golden Eaglets coach Nduka Ugbade has listed countries that may hinder the Super Eagles' title ambition in Ivory Coast, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Having secured their passage to the competition, the Super Eagles will confront Sao Tome and Principe in the final game of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo.

While speaking on Brila FM radio, a former Eagles defender believes the defending champion Senegal is capable of winning the trophy again.

"Teams like Senegal, Cameroon, Egypt, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Guinea are all preparing which means Nigeria must prepare for them with our best hands.

"Remember these players only play occasionally for the national team", he said.

Ugbade was part of the victorious Super Eagles set of 1994 that lifted the trophy in Tunisia under former coach Clemence Westernoff.
