2023 AFCON Draw Fallout: Cameroon, Senegal Friendly Faces Cancellation

Following the outcome of the 2023 African Cup of Nations draw held on Thursday, the proposed friendly match between the Teranga Lion of Senegal and the Indomitable Lion of Cameroon is set to be cancelled, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Just before the draw, both countries agreed to play each other in an international game slated to take place on Monday.

However, which was held in Abidjan on Thursday pitched both national teams in the same group for the upcoming AFCON scheduled for Ivory Coast in January 2024.

The President of the Senegal Football Federation Augustin Senghor after drawing the football supremo changed his attitude towards the game.

There is also talk of a possible regulation by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) which would compromise the holding of this meeting.
