2023 AFCON Qualifier; Akpoguma Ruled Out Of Guinea Bissau Clash

When Nigeria's Super Eagles confronts the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau on Monday the team will be without Kevin Akpoguma, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The German-based defender started the first leg match at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja before he was replaced early in the second half by Semi Ajayi after a facial injury.

Akpoguma missed the team's final training on Saturday and is likely to be unavailable for the crucial game. Guinea Bissau shocked Super Eagles 0-1 at home to leapfrog to the top of group A table with seven points while Super Eagles have four.

Victory for Nigeria on Monday will move them back to the top of the table and closer to the competition in Ivory Coast.
