The Confederation of African Football ( CAF) has confirmed Moronvia the capital of Liberia as the venue of the Sierra Leone and Nigeria game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Leone Star will play host to the Super Eagle of Nigeria in match day 5 of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier in a game they must win to have a chance of reaching the competition slated to hold in Ivory Coast next year.

The Football Federation touted having the game being hosted at the newly refurbished Southern City Arena but CAF refused to approve the stadium.

The football body on Thursday confirmed that the game will be played at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia.

With 9 points as the group leader Super Eagle required a draw in the remaining two matches to qualify for the competition.
