2023 AFCON Qualifier: Kevin Akpoguma Hits Super Eagles Camp

Kelvin Akpoguma has arrived in Nigeria ahead of next Friday's Nigeria versus Guinea Bissau African Nations Cup qualifier tie in Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Kevin John Ufuoma Akpoguma (born 19 April 1995) who plays as a centre back for Bundesliga club 1899 Hoffenheim in Germany was a youth international for Germany but switched and represents the Nigeria national team.
According to insider, he arrived on Sunday evening as rest of the team are expected to hit the camp Monday morning.
"No other players have arrived apart from Kevin Akpoguma who will come into the camp tonight (Sunday night). The reliable source told BSN Sports. Moses Simon and Kelechi Iheanacho were other two players who have arrived Super Eagles camp.
Super Eagles will have the first training session on Monday at 5:00pm at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro invited 23 players to prosecute the double headers between the three times African champions and Guinea Bissau slated to hold next Friday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja at 5:00pm.
Nigeria in group A are topping the table with 6 points from two matches and closely followed by Guinea Bissau who have garnered 4 points from two games. Super Eagles will have the AFCON ticket sealed if they beat Guinea Bissau home and away.
Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe have 1 and 0 point to be placed 3rd and 4th on the log respectively.
