Ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone and Mauritius, Super Eagles manager Jose Paseiro jas invited Sporting Charleroi defender Valentine Ozornwaifor, BSNsports.com.ng report.
After representing Nigeria's Flying Eagles in the 2019 U20 FIFA World Cup in Poland, Ozornwaifor made his Super Eagles debut against Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in an international friendly in June 2021.
Super Eagles are presently in the United States for the International friendly and are expected to be back in the country after the Ecuador's game to commence preparations for the qualifiers.
The Jupiler league side confirmed Ozornwaifor invitation through its official website.
" Our African internationals will play several qualifying matches for the next African Cup of Nations.
Loïc Bessilé will evolve with Togo and receive Eswatini and before moving then to Cape Verde;
Hervé Koffi and Burkina Faso will host Cape Verde before traveling to Morocco to face Eswatini;
Valentine Ozornwafor, selected with Nigeria, will face Sierra Leone before traveling to Mauritius
Vakoun Bayo and Ivory
Coast will face Zambia before traveling to Lesotho;
Adem Zorgane and Algeria will receive Uganda before going to Tanzania," the club confirmed
