2023 AFCON Qualifier: Peseiro Unleashes Red-Hot Osimhen, Awoniyi, Lookman On Sierra Leone

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has decided to unleash the in-form trio of Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Ademola Lookman on the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Sierra Leone will host Nigeria's Super Eagle in a Matchday 5 fixture of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier scheduled to hold in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia.
The Portuguese gaffer released the list of 23 players that will prosecute the game on Friday morning and 3 leading scorers in the just concluded European football season expectedly made the list.
Osimhen netted for Napoli this season and his compatriot Ademola Lookman also emerged top scorer for Atalanta.
Awoniyi's 10 goals this season were instrumental to Nottingham Forest surviving relegation in the Premier League.
Apart from the trio, Israel-based goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye also staged a return to the team as Peseiro decided to drop Francis Uzoho for the game.
Meanwhile, four home-based players also made the list.
