2023 AFCON Qualifier: Sierra Leone Captain Shares Update On His Injury

Despite being among the invited players for the crucial tie against Super Eagles, the skipper of the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone Steven Caulker remained a major doubt for the game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team coach John Keister released the list of invited players for the game last week and Caulker's name was featured on the list.

The former Fulham defender sustained the injury while representing his club Wigan in a league and he underwent a successful surgery but is still recuperating barely 4 days before the game.

He gave the update through his social media handle on Wednesday.

“Being injured is certainly not fun.

“This new treatment delivered by St. James Wellbeing clinic is brutally painful but super effective", he posted.
