2023 AFCON Qualifier: Sierra Leone Forward Targets Victory Against Nigeria

Ahead of the crucial qualifier against Nigeria, Leone Stars of Sierra Leone striker Ismael Dumbuya has remained optimistic about the game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Liberia-based forward is one of the late calls up into the team after 7 invited players dropped out of the squad.

Speaking through the Sierra Leone Football Association, Dumbuya said their main goal is to beat Nigeria in the game.

“I hope to make the final squad for the game against Nigeria.

“We want to beat Nigeria and qualify for the next AFCON", he said.

A win will revitalize the Leone Stars' hope of qualifying for the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
