2023 AFCON Qualifier: Sierra Leone Goalscorer Unhappy With Match Result

Leone Stars of Sierra Leone goal scorer against Nigeria, Jonathan Morsay, he was unhappy as his Goal could not guarantee a win, BSNsports.com.ng gathered.


The Swedish-born attacker opened the scoring in the 11th minute but it was not enough as they ended up losing the game 2-1 to the superior power of the Nigeria side.


Morsay in his statements claimed they played well, even better than Nigeria but unfortunately they could not get anything from the game.


" I was delighted to score my first goal for Sierra Leone in an official match but unfortunately the goal was not enough for a win.


"We are obviously sad that we could not get anything from this match but we played. I thought in some parts we played better than Nigeria, there are a lot of positives we can take into the next match against Guinea Bissau.


"Our focus now is on the next match and we can take a lot of good things from this match onto the next qualifying game to improve our performance," he said.
