As the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea Bissau beckons, 2 Nigeria's Super Eagles players are at risk of missing the second leg, BSNSports.com.ng report.
The duo of goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and defender Calvin Bassey got booked in the last game against Sierra Leone in Abuja.
Bassey received a yellow card in the 82nd minute and four minutes later, goalkeeper Francis Uzoho also picked up a yellow card.
According to article 42.1 of the Regulations of the Africa Cup of Nations, a player who receives two warning cards in the series, will be automatically suspended from the following match.
The two players featured prominently on the list of invited players released by coach Jose Peseiro.
Nigeria will host the first leg at MKO Abiola stadium before travelling to Guinea Bissau for the second leg a few days later.
