The hope of Nigeria's representative Custom to play in this year's African Women's Basketball League has finally been dashed, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite suffering defeats along the way, the Nigerian side sneaked into the quarter-final of the competition and they were drawn against one of the tournament favourites Inter Clube of Angola.

The Nigerian champions did their best right from the first quarter but the Angolans side proved their superiority by dominating the game.

Ingvild Mucauro was the hero of the game as she propelled her team to a comfortable 89-65 win over the Nigerians.

Mucauro, scored 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 steals to clinch the Woman of the Match award.
