2023 African Games In Accra Gets August Date

The Local Organising Committee ( LOC) of the 2023 African Games billed for Accra, Ghana has announced the date for the events slated to take place next year, BSNsports.com.ng understands.

Ghana has never staged the games before and the organiser have announced August 4th to 19th 2023 as the date for the event.

A new sports complex in the Borteyman area is due to play a central role in staging the events, with a swimming centre being built as well as tennis courts and a venue for hosting indoor sports.

Organisers had already approved a 23-sport programme for the African Games next year, with the ball the sole demonstration sport.  

Arm wrestling, rugby union and cricket are due to make their African Games debuts at Accra 2023.
