The captain of the Rwandan team Valentine Munezero has insisted that they are ready to compete against Nigeria and other countries in the tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Yaoundé, Cameroon is set to host this year's African Women Volleyball Championship with 17 countries including Nigeria taking place from August 16-26.

"There is always a chance at redemption, that gives us reason to go out there and give it all we got. With the preparation we’ve gone through, I believe we are stronger.

We have built ourselves into a stronger group than we have been in the past few weeks,” she said

“Every player is well aware of what we need to do in the next few days and the position we target to achieve.”

“The good thing is that in our team we have a good spirit. All the players are ready for the tests ahead of us and we all know what we have to do and ready to perform well.

"It is just for us to perform well,” the APR woman left attacker further noted.
