2023 Afrobasket: Senegal Opens Camp Next Week For D'Tigress, Others

Ahead of the 2023 Women Afrobasket, the head coach of the Senegalese team Moustapha Gaye has announced the list of the invited players and they are expected to resume camp next week, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Senegal are among the 12 countries that have qualified to compete with the defending champions, Nigeria's D'Tigress, for the title.
The list of 19 players is made up of four leaders, seven wingers and eight pivots and will start the preparation this Monday, June 12 at the Marius Ndiaye stadium in day school.
The AfroBasket 2023 scheduled from July 28 to August 6, 2023, in Kigali, Rwanda and Senegal last won it in 2015.
List of invited players
Leaders: Lena Timeira, Cierra Janay Dillard, Fatou Dieng and Ndioma Kane.
Wings: Sokhna Licka Sy, Yacine Diop, Aya Traore, Mathilde Diop, Fatou Pouye, Sokhna Fatou Sylla and Mareme Drame
Pivots: Oumou Khairy Sarr, Aminata Fall, Madjiguene Sene, Oumou Kalsoum Toure, Fatou Diagne, Arama Niang, Khadidiatou Bigue Sarr and Aicha Ndour.
