2023 CHAN Qualifier: Ghana Build-Up Suffers Setback Following Cancellation Of Austria Tour

The preparation of Ghana's Black Galaxies for the all-important final round of the 2023 Championship of African Nations ( CHAN) qualifier against Nigeria's Super Eagles B team has suffered a setback as their trip to Austria has been cancelled, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

The proposed trip to Austria was cancelled due to visa problems.

The Galaxies eliminated Benin in the first round of the CHAN qualifiers to set up a tie against bitter rivals Nigeria later this month.

Ghana trounced Benin 3-0 in the first leg at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium before winning 1-0 in the second leg on in Port Novo.

The team was supposed to travel to Austria for a four-nation tournament next week and take on Qatar, Morocco, and Jamaica.

Black Galaxies of Ghana will face Nigeria in the final round of 2023 CHAN qualifiers between August 26-28, 2022.

The home-based national team eliminated Benin in the preliminary round to progress to the next round.

Recall Ghana Black Galaxies missed out on the CHAN tournament in the last three editions and are keen on bouncing back to the competition in which they finished second in the maiden edition.
