2023 CHAN Qualifier: We Deserve To Qualify - Ghana's Assistant Coach

The assistant coach of the Black Galaxies of Ghana Bismark Kobi-Mensha has maintained that they deserved to qualify for the competition in Algeria, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Ghana on Saturday at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja qualified for the 2023 Championship of African Nations at the expense of Nigeria's Super Eagles team B.

The Nigeria side won the game 2-0 and levelled the game 2-2 on aggregate but Ghana prevailed 5-4 via penalty shootout.

During a post-match conference, the coach said they knew the game will be difficult.

"We knew it will be difficult because Nigeria is a very good side.

"We worked hard throughout the game and we deserved to qualify."

Ghana returned to the tournament after missing the last three editions.

"Though we defended well football is like that but at last, we were able to qualify," he said.
