2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifier: Victory Over Nigeria Means A Lot - Ivorian Coach

The head coach of the Ivory Coast basketball team Dejan Prokic has said their win over Nigeria's D'Tigers meant a lot to the team, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Ivory Coast who doubled as host of the qualifiers defeated Nigeria in the opening group match of the 4th window.

The Serbian coach admitted that it was a difficult match but praised the Nigerian side for giving them a good fight.

 "This game against Nigeria is what everybody came for and they enjoyed it. It was a great game and I think that we deserve the victory but I must congratulate D'Tigers for the good fight they gave us," he said.

Ivory Coast continued their impressive performance in the qualifier as they have won all their games in the window.
