2023 FIFA WWC: FMSPORTS9 CEO, Bamisaye Applauds Super Falcons Gallant Performance Despite Exit
Ibrahim Lateef
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FMSPORTS9 Femi Bamisaye has praised the Super Falcons for their superb outing in Brisbane, Australia despite losing through penalties to European champions, England, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to him: "I am very impressed with the performance of the girls, they gave their best shot and fought like lionesses on the pitch for the 120 minutes.
"It has been a while that I have seen a Nigerian team play with so much zeal, passion and patriotism. The Super Falcons gave us something to be very proud of against England.
"It was quite unfortunate that we had to lose in that manner. Penalties are like lottery and unfortunately it didn't go our way, I hope next time we will be lucky"
When further asked what should the NFF do with the team going forward, the Ekiti born and South Africa based Nigerian Agent said.
"I wish to urge the Nigeria Football Federation to build on this and help the team prepare for its next international assignments or tournaments.
"I personally feel the technical team did well and we were just one foot from equalling our best outing at the FIFA Women's World Cup which was 24 years ago but just for hard luck. So with that kind of outing, one can only but implore the NFF to give the technical crew led by Waldrum another chance, especially when the Coach stated in a post match interview that he would love to continue with the team. "
