The skipper of the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, Nchout Njoya Ajara, has attributed their ouster from the 2023 FIFA Women World Cup to the poor officiating, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Cameroonian side on Wednesday lost 2-1 to Portugal in the final of the playoff which means they are out of the competition.
While reacting to the game, the Inter Milan of Italy attacker said they knew referee Casy Rebelt was against them but they decided to keep playing.
"When we came to play, we knew that the referee was going to be against us but we will not dwell on it, it's soccer," she said.
Senegal also lost out, which means only Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Morocco will represent the continent at FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
