2023 Women Afrobasket: Egypt Edge DR Congo To Send Warning Signals To D'Tigress

Egypt Women's Basketball team sent a warning signal to Nigeria's D'Tigress after their hard-fought victory over DR Congo on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

DR Congo suffered a humiliating defeat to the Nigerians in the opening game on Friday but put up a good fight against the North Africans on Saturday afternoon.

Egypt dominated and won the 1st quarter 12-23 but the Congolese fought back to win the 2nd quarter 20-15 and still won the 3rd quarter 29-23.

Congo surrendered to the Egyptians in the final quarter losing 28-17 and Egypt won 89-78.

Egypt will confront D'Tigress on Sunday in the second group game.
