Encomiums and commendation continue to pour in for the Nigeria's Super Falcons following their qualification for the 2023 FIFA Women World Cup, BSNsports.com.ng report.
Atletico Madrid Femino forward, Rasheedat Ajibade, netted the only goal of the game as Nigeria defeated arch-rivals, the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.
The win ensured that Super Falcons joined Copper Queens of Zambia and the Atlas Lioness who qualified earlier on Wednesday through a similar route.
The World soccer governing body through its social media handle congratulated the Falcons for the achievement referring to them as a familiar face.
" A #FIFAWWC familiar face!
Nigeria is heading to their 9th consecutive tournament!
@NGSuper_Falcons | #BeyondGreatness," said FIFA.
Nigeria joined Japan, Norway and United States as the countries that have appeared in every world cup since its inception in 1991.
