2023 Women's World Cup: Iweala Backs Super Falcons Against Australia

Following their remarkable draw against Canada, the Director General of, the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has backed Nigeria's Super Falcons to get a positive result against Australia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side last weekend returned to Brisbane and has started preparations for the game against the host.

Victory for Nigeria in the game will take them to the top of the table with 4 points and in the position of reaching the knockout round.

Former Nigeria's Minister of Finance via her social media handle hailed the team and backed them for the next game.

"Hello, Super Falcons! Congratulations on an incredible effort in your draw with Canada. Wishing you the best in the upcoming Australia match up!!!,’’ she wrote.

Super Falcons remained the only African team that has gotten a point from the first round of games, other has suffered defeats.
