2024 BAFCONQ: Coach Isa Blames Bad Officiating For Sand Eagles Ouster

The head coach of the Sand Eagles Abdullahi Isa has attributed the team's defeat to bad Officiating, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite picking away a win in Nouakchott against Mauritania, the Nigerian side surrendered their away advantage to lose 6-5 at home.

The coach blamed the referee for the defeat but quickly admitted the team did their best.

"Unluckily for us, we lost the game, we tried our best but we couldn't win".

" I'm disappointed in the officiating, I don't know what happened, maybe they came with their own rules, I don't know.

" They gave out three straight hits, penalties down there.

" At last seconds, we conceded another one, which I don't see as one at all, but that's the game", he said.

Egypt has been awarded the hosting right of the 2024 Beach African Cup of Nations.
