2024 BOCKNOR Under-15 Champion Of Champions Cup To Kick-off In Abuja

The inaugural Bocknor U15 Football Tournament will commence in the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday, 19th October, at two different venues, reports BSNSports.com.ng. 

The tournament organized by the FCT Chapter of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association is sponsored by Barrister Babatunde Akintade (Bocknor).

Barrister Akintade is a Board member of the FCT Football Association and the North Central representative on the Board of the NLO.

According to the Local Organizing Committee of the FCT Coaches, the tournament will involve all the six Area Councils in the Capital city.

The Committee said the tournament is a strategic football development plan and a youth-centered program. The FCT Coaches mentioned that the tournament will be in a Mini League format and will take place in two centers across the FCT, with the grand finale at the City Centre.

The tournament will be held in Gwagwalada and Bwari, respectively, on Saturday, 19th October 2024, with the final taking place on 26th October.

The Gwagwalada Venue will have teams from Abaji, Gwagwalada, and Kwali, while the Bwari Venue will host AMAC, Bwari, and Kuje.

 The sponsor of the tournament, Babatunde Bocknor, emphasized that nurturing football development remains a key priority for the game in Nigeria.

 Bocknor also sponsors a U15 football tournament for youths in Gwagwalada Area Council, where he serves as Vice Chairman of the Gwagwalada Football Council.
