2024 FIBA AWBL: Al Ahly Sporting Withdraws From Tournament

Just as the qualified teams prepare to take to the court for the inaugural edition of the FIBA African Women's Basketball League, Al Ahly Sporting of Egypt has withdrew from the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

10 teams including Nigeria representative Custom have qualified to play in the tournament slated to start this weekend.

The reason for their withdrawal was not revealed but DR Congo's CNSS has been called to replace them.

The qualified teams are C.N.S.S. Custom, Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Rwanda Energy Group (REG)  Overdose Up Station, Universite Douala
