2024 Inaugural Captain's Cup Winner Aims For More Trophy Ibrahim Lateef
Shola Adebayo, winner of the IBB International Golf and Country Club 2024 Inaugural Captain's Cup, has expressed his ambition to achieve more success in his golfing career, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
Adebayo, a person with disability13 amateur player, emphasized that he remained focused on the game and did not fixate on winning the trophy during the tournament. After clinching the top spot in this year's event with a gross score of 76 and a net score of 63, he spoke to reporters in Abuja, stating his determination to secure victories in future tournaments. Shola Adebayo's victory saw him outperform over 300 amateur golfers who participated in the 18-hole competition. He shared his thoughts, remarking, "I am pleased to have emerged as the winner of this particular event. All I can say is that you need to remain calm and accept whatever comes your way." Meanwhile, Ibrahim Babayo, the Captain of the prestigious Golf Club, highlighted the club's plans for upcoming events during their tenure. He mentioned significant reforms such as the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures, staff enhancements, and, most notably, the commitment to elevating the course to international status. The event also featured the presentation of trophies and gifts to players in various categories, including Men's, Ladies, Veterans, and Professionals', who achieved success in their respective divisions during the 18-hole competition.
