2024 Kanu Nwankwo U19 Inter-State Cup Begins in Owerri

The Kanu Nwankwo U19 Inter-State Cup was yesterday unveiled and draws made for the 20 team inter state competition for Under 19 teams in Imo and Abia State, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Inter-State Cup is named after former Super Eagles and three time African Footballer of the year, Kanu Nwankwo, the current Chairman of Enyimba Football Club of Aba.

The tournament will feature 10 teams from Imo state and 10 teams from Abia State.

Speaking at the draws sponsor of the competition and Enyimba International of Aba Sporting Director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme said the competition will assist in discovering of young players in the two states.

He revealed that other retired Nigeria National team stars will be around to support the project. The competition will kickoff in Aba Abia State on Tuesday.
