2024 National Youth Games Gets New Date

The date for the commencement of the 2024 National Youth Games has been changed, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

It was earlier scheduled to hold from 10th to 20th of September but has been changed to hold from 9th to 19th.

The main games will commence with the arrival of participants on 9th September, followed by the competition running from 10th to 18th September. Athletes and officials will depart on 19th September 2024.

The 8th National Youth Games will take place in Asaba, Delta State, with a packed schedule aimed at showcasing the best of Nigeria’s young athletic talent. The registration period for the event runs from the 23rd to the 28th of August 2024.

The Zonal Elimination phase will follow immediately after, with teams arriving on 28th August. The elimination games will be held from 29th to 31st August, with teams departing on 1st September.

A Pre-Delegates Registration Meeting (Pre DRM) is scheduled from 2nd to 6th September to finalize preparations for the main event.

This year’s edition promises to be a thrilling display of youth sportsmanship and a crucial stepping stone for young athletes across the nation.
