2024 President Federation Cup: Bethel Orji Delighted To Lead Abia Warriors To Semi-Finals

Abia Warriors Coach, Bethel Orji has expressed joy over leading the team to its first ever semi-finals of the President Federation Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Goalkeeper Ali Ishaku made the headline as Abia Warriors defeated Sokoto United to qualify for the semi final of the ongoing 2024 President Federation Cup, played at the FIFA Goal Project pitch in Abuja.

The game went straight to penalty shootout, where Warriors goalkeeper, Ali Ishaku made a save and his teammates, Prince Okorie, Collins Nwoburuoke, Adejoh Ojonugwa, Ayodele Ezekiel and Sunday Megwo all converted their spot kicks to take the team to the last four for the first time in the club's history.

According to Orji, the team will not relent in its efforts to win the cup and stay afloat in the Nigeria Premier Football League. 

"No game is easy, be it a small game. Every match is very important. I feel great as a coach. This is the first time I am leading a team to the semi-finals as a coach in my career. 

"We have to go to the drawing board to make some corrections and to continue to stay afloat in the league."
