2024 U20 World Cup Qualifier: Tanzania Face Falconets After 12-0 Demolition of Djibouti

The East African side set up a clash against Nigeria's Falconets after their impressive 12-0 victory against Djibouti over two legs.

In the first-leg second round tie, Tanzania triumphed 5-0 and secured a dominant 7-0 victory in the second leg to progress to the next round.

Next for Twiga Stars is a tough contest against Nigeria’s Falconets, and the fixtures are scheduled between November 17 and 19.

The Falconets have a strong history in this competition, having qualified for every edition of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and finishing as runners-up twice; in 2010 and 2014, narrowly losing to Germany on both occasions.

Four teams will represent Africa at next year’s World Cup which will be hosted by Colombia.
