Cape Verde Women's National sent a warning signal to Nigeria's Super Falcons following their comprehensive victory over Liberia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Cape Verde hosted their African counterparts from Liberia in the first leg of the Women's African Cup of Nations and recorded a 3-0 win.

Ivania Moreira put the host ahead in the 15th minute before Evy Pereira doubled their lead in the 53rd minute while Moreira completed her brace in the 94th minute and ensured a total victory.

Liberia will host the second leg in Monrovia Liberia and must score at least 4 unreplied goals to proceed to the next round.

The winner over the two legs will face Nigeria's Super Falcons in the second round of the qualifier.

The Nigerian side was drawn bye for the first round after Sao Tome and Principe withdrew from the qualifier.
