2025 AFCON: Morocco Favoured To Get Hosting Rights

Morocco has been named as favourite to get the nod to host the 2025 African Nations Cup, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Though the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is yet to make the official announcement of the host country for the 2025 African Cup of Nations but Morocco seemed to have an edge over other countries who have submitted their lists to host the 2025 AFCON.

Five countries including Nigeria have signified their interest in hosting the competition after Guinea was stripped of the hosting rights.

The inspection team of the football body concluded their inspections across the cities of bidding countries last week and has promised to announce the new host in July.

According to the comments made by Haffid Darradji famous commentator on the Qatari channels, " the question of the host country for 2025 longer arises as CAF has decided to give it to Morocco", he said.

He added that Royal Morocco Football Federation (RMRF) led by Fouza Lekjaa seems to have lobbied behind to get the hosting right.
