2025 AFCON Qualifier: Awaziem, Tanimu Missing As Labbadia Lists 23 Super Eagles For Benin, Rwanda

The duo of Benjamin Tanimu and Chidozie Awaziem are the notable missing names in the list of players invited for the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Both players have been part of the team in recent time but Awaziem who has just joined Major League Soccer club FC Cincinnati while the league in Tanzania is just resuming and Tanimu is settling down into the season. The newly appointed German coach Bruno Labbadia unveiled 23 players who will prosecute the game against the Cheetahs of Benin and the Amavubi of Rwanda. Victor Osimhen, Olisa Ndah and Taiwo Awoniyi returned to the team and goalkeeper Amos Omorogie is the only new face in the team.
