2025 AFCON Qualifier: CAF Appoints Egyptian Officials For Nigeria, Benin Clash

Ahead of the opening qualifier, the Confederation of African Football has appointed Egyptian officials for the game involving Nigeria and Benin, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will host their Cheetahs counterpart from Benin on the 7th of September in Uyo. CAF on Friday appointed Amin Mohammed Omar from Egypt as the centre referee and he will be assisted by his compatriots Mohammad Abouelregal ( Assistant Referee I) and Hammad Hossam Taha ( Assistant Referee II) while Ahmad ElGhandour will serve as the 4th official. Ghana's Nassam Adam will serve as the match commissioner and Fatou Faye from Senegal will be the referee's assessors while Atte Claude Elloh will serve as the security officer. The game is slated for Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
