2025 AFCON Qualifier: Ogunmodede States Super Eagles Mission Against Benin, Rwanda
Sampson Adedeji
The assistant coach of the Super Eagles Daniel Ogunmodede has stated the mission of the team in the upcoming 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin and Rwanda, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The 3-time African champions will face the Cheetah of Benin in the day 5 of the qualifier before hosting the Amavubi in the final match day.
The Remo Stars coach said their target is to secure maximum points from both matches.
"Every match we want to approach it like a Cup final, we want to win all matches,” Ogunmodede said in an interview on NFF TV.
“I’m not aware we needed just one point to qualify so we just want to win regardless of the number of points left to qualify.
“First, the priority is for us to qualify, and secondly, according to the head coach, to win all games as they come and a maximum of three points is what is important to us.”
