2025 AFCON Qualifier: Rwanda, Libya Will Also Lose In Nigeria - Rohr
By Sampson Adedeji
The coach, Benin Gernot Rohr, has said losing to the Super Eagles in Uyo is no big deal and believes other teams will also suffer the same feat, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Goals from Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen sank the Cheetahs at the Goodswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
During a press conference on Monday, Rohr made it clear that the competition is between 3 teams and Nigeria has an edge over the rest of the teams in the group.
" We lost 3-0 to Nigeria, we were in a good position, we held the game until the 47th minute before we conceded.
"We didn't allow Nigeria to create many chances and we weren't bad at all.
"Until the 76th minute, we hoped to equalized and we did everything we could.
"I believe Rwanda and Libya too will not win in Nigeria, so the qualifier in the group is about 3 teams and it starts for us on Tuesday.
" The result doesn't reflect what happened on the pitch.
Benin will host Libya in Abidjan on Tuesday in the Matchday 2 of the 2025 African Nations Cup qualifier.
