2025 AFCON Qualifier: Rwanda Sends Warning To Super Eagles, Holds Libya In Tripoli

The qualifier of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers kick off on Wednesday evening as Rwanda picked valuable one point on the road, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

With the result, the Amavubi have sent a warning signal to the Super Eagles of Nigeria with morale booster one point in Tripoli.

It was the host who netted the opening goal earlier in the first stanza and also dominated the half.

But the Rwandans came back stronger in the second half and seized the control of the game.

Their efforts paid off towards the end of the game as Nshuti y’Abanyarwanda equalized to level the game.

All the efforts of the hosts to get the winning goal proved abortive as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Super Eagles and Benin will clash in their opening game on Saturday in Uyo.

The Rwandan will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the second game while Libya will face the Cheetahs of Benin.
