2025 AFCON Qualifier: Rwanda Set To Storm Nigeria

After their setback against Libya on Thursday, the Amavubi of Rwanda have departed Kigali en route to Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The hope of the Amavubi reaching the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco suffered a huge setback on Thursday after a 0-1 home loss to Libya.

The team under coach Thorsten Spittler departed Kigali on Friday morning for Uyo the venue of the match.

They are expected to touch down in the country later in the day and will commence their preparation for the game on Saturday.

Rwanda must get a win against Nigeria to have a chance of qualifying for the competition and also hope Libya beats Benin.

The game against Nigeria is slated for Monday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
