2025 AWVC: Defending Champions, Zamalek Beat Kenya Pipeline To Pick Final Ticket

It was a semi final to remember as defending champions, Zamalek of Egypt defeated Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) 3-2 (25-23, 28-26, 19-25, 24-26, 15-12) to qualify for the final of the African Women's Volleyball Inter-Cub Championship holding at the Indoor Hall package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. 

The match lived up to billings with the Kenyans enjoying the support of spectators at the stand who were hailing every move, strike and shot of the KPC ladies.

It was a game of experience, grit, wit and power which clearly showed that the game is developing in the continent.

Some fans who spoke with the media commended the display of both teams saying Africa will have good representatives at the World Cup later in the year.

Zamalek will be playing in their third consecutive final having won the last two editions in 2023 and 2024.
