2025 Afrobasket: D’Tigers Unveil Final 12-Man Squad

With just 72 hours to the tip-off of the 2025 Afrobasket Championship in Angola, Nigeria’s D’Tigers have confirmed their final 12-man roster for the tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Under the guidance of head coach Muhammad Abdulrahman, the team has been in camp in Abuja since last week, fine-tuning preparations for the continental showpiece. During their build-up, they played two friendly games against Guinea, recording one win and one loss on Friday.

The final squad announcement came on Saturday evening, with Fola Fayemi, Kareem Joseph, and Mohamed AbdulSalam missing out. Peter Olisemeka was also dropped after being declared ineligible.

Nigeria will battle in Group B alongside Tunisia, Madagascar, and Cameroon. The D’Tigers open their campaign against Madagascar on August 13, before taking on Tunisia and Cameroon in their remaining group fixtures.
